Membership of The Silver Society
There are three categories of membership:
Member
Annual subscription: £40 reduced to
£35 if paid by standing order
A member is entitled to attend and vote at all Society meetings, to receive the Journal and Newsletter and use the research
area of this website. A member may join visits (subject to space restrictions at some venues), for which there is usually a fee.
Membership application form
When joining the Society as a member or a member plus (below) you must be recommended by a current member. However it is possible to become a provisional member for a year before full membership. Please ask the secretary for details of provisional membership, and for any further information you may need. We do not issue a membership list.
Member plus
Annual subscription: £55 reduced to £50 if paid by standing order
This category is the same as above, except that
such a member may be accompanied by another designated person within his or her family (broadly interpreted) at all the Society's meetings and visits. The name of such other
person must be recorded with the Secretary. You will receive one set of mailings (Journal and Newsletter). Membership application form
Institutional member
Annual subscription: £55 reduced to £50 if paid by standing order
An institution admitted
to membership in this category will have the rights of a member to receive one copy of the Journal and Newsletter and may nominate up to three persons who may attend all
Society meetings and visits and receive the Newsletter via email. An institution's right to vote as a member of the Society shall be exercised by one of the persons nominated.
